LeBron James’ Final NBA Wish Is About To Come True

LeBron James has enjoyed a successful NBA career. Having won everything in the league, the 39-year-old does not have a long time before he calls it quits. However, before he leaves the court, Bron has one last wish, which is to share the court with his son Bronny James. The four-time NBA champion has been very vocal about his feelings on playing alongside his son.

Bronny James suffered from a cardiac arrest just less than a year ago and was off the court for a few months because of it. However, he returned to action and represented the USC Trojans in the NCAA tournament this season. Although he was not able to make an impact in his time on the court, scouts were impressed with his defensive brilliance.

Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN reported that Bronny James was given the clearance to play in the league by the NBA’s Fitness to Play Panel. This means that he can now participate in the draft combine and impress GMs and scouts to have a chance at making it to the NBA. Drafting Bronny would give teams a chance to attract a star like LeBron James as the 39-year-old would want to join his son for a season before he retires from the league.

Is Bronny James a value pick for an NBA team?

Bronny James played for the USC Trojans in the NCAA tournament. He averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 19.4 minutes per game as a freshman. Although these stats look underwhelming, one has to remember that Bronny had just returned to basketball after a cardiac arrest. Despite his poor shooting performances, the youngster was able to show flashes of his defensive brilliance, which proved to grab a few eyeballs.

According to a few scouts, NBA teams would be interested in acquiring his services as they see the potential of him being a stellar 3 and D player. Coaches in the league appreciate the presence of such players on the roster and this gives Bronny an added advantage.

Along with bringing him in, teams can also get a chance to add LeBron James to their roster. This indefinitely makes them a playoff team as the King can still deliver and lead a side to the postseason on his own. While the Atlanta Hawks will be looking to make something work as they have the number one pick, the LA Lakers will be doing their best as they would want to keep LeBron James till his time in the league comes to an end.
