Lalit Modi Slams ICC Over Indo-Pak Ticket Prices

Lalit Modi has claimed that cricket fans are eagerly trying to get tickets for the India-Pakistan match, with some tickets reportedly being sold for as much as Rs 16 lakh. Modi also expressed frustration with the ICC.

The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for June 9 in New York. Fans are eagerly awaiting this clash in the T20 World Cup, and tickets are in extremely high demand. It’s been claimed that tickets for the India-Pakistan match are being sold for around Rs 16 lakh. Former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi shared this information on social media, criticizing the ICC in the process.

Lalit Modi posted on X (formerly Twitter), sharing screenshots and expressing his surprise that the ICC is allegedly selling tickets for the India-Pakistan match for $20,000. He criticized the ICC, saying, “The World Cup is being organized in America to promote cricket and allow fans to come and watch, not to make money.”

However, a check of the official ICC website reveals different information. According to the website, tickets for the India-Pakistan match start at $300, which is approximately 25,000 rupees.

The most expensive ticket available on the ICC website is $10,000, which is for a Diamond Club seat. This translates to more than 8 lakh rupees. There is no listing for a $20,000 ticket on the ICC website.
