Kuldeep Yadav’s Injury is a Matter of Growing Concern

Delhi Capitals’ Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav is suffering from a back injury. Keeping in mind the upcoming T20 World Cup cricket tournament, special precautions are being taken regarding Kuldeep and he has been advised to rest. So the question of when Kuldeep will be able to play in an IPL match is still unanswered.

The match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians will be played on April 7. Kuldeep Yadav is unlikely to play in this match. There is no official information yet on when Kuldeep will be ready to play. According to media reports, Kuldeep Yadav’s injury is not serious. So Kuldeep is travelling with the team. Kuldeep is currently in Mumbai. Delhi have to play against the Mumbai team at this place. Delhi Capitals team has won only one out of four matches. Delhi has faced a big defeat against the KKR team. Due to this, the concern of the Delhi team has increased.

Delhi is missing Kuldeep

Kuldeep Yadav played for Delhi in the first two matches of the current IPL season. He got a chance to play against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals and took three wickets. However, Kuldeep then missed the last two matches played in Visakhapatnam due to injury. Visakhapatnam is Delhi’s second home venue and plays here against Chennai Super Kings and KKR. While Delhi won against CSK, Delhi faced a 106-run defeat against KKR. Delhi missed Kuldeep a lot in this match. Ricky Ponting, the head coach of the team, was also very saddened by this defeat. After playing against Mumbai Indians, Delhi will face Lucknow Supergiants in Lucknow on April 12.

The selection committee is keeping an eye on Kuldeep

The Indian selection committee is keeping an eye on Kuldeep’s fitness. After the current season of IPL, the ICC T20 World Cup will be played in America and West Indies and Kuldeep is a strong contender to get a place in the Indian squad for the tournament. Kuldeep has come into the IPL after a good performance in the five-match Test series against England. Kuldeep played four matches in this series and managed to take 19 wickets. He bowled brilliantly in the fifth and final Test for which he was adjudged man of the match.
