Krida Prabodhini team eyes double title in Hockey Pune League

The Krida Prabodhini team has reached the finals of both groups in the Senior and Junior Division Hockey Pune League 2024-25 organized by Hockey Maharashtra. GST and Customs, Pune registered a 4-2 win over Central Railway, Pune in the first match of the Senior Division semi-final at Major Dhyanchand Stadium, Nehrunagar-Pimpri.

In the first semi-final in the junior group, Friends Union Club defeated Hockey Lovers Sports Club 3-2. Kunal, Shubham Thakur, and Yash Thakur spearheaded the Friends Union Club’s victory. Swapnil Garsund gave Hockey Lovers Sports Club an early lead. After that, Hitesh Kalyan added color to the match when he scored 1-3.

Talib Shah was the hero in the semi-final

In the second semi-final match, Krida Prabodhini’s ‘A’ team beat Food Corporation of India Pune by 4-1. Sachin Kolekar, Rohan Patil, Darishsheel Jadhav, and Sachin Rajgade contributed to Krida Prabodhini’s victory. Ajay Naidu scored the only goal for FCI, Pune.

Talib Shah played an important role in the victory by scoring three goals. Alexander Moses scored a goal for the winning team. Pune’s Vishal Pillay and Stephen Swamy added a goal each for Central Railway. After that, Krida Prabodhini’s ‘B’ team defeated Poona Hockey Academy 5-0 to enter the finals. Karthik Patare scored three goals. Suraj Shukla scored one goal.
