Ananya Panday is the new face of consistency as an actress. The Bae of Bollywood is not the one to take a break from work. The actress has already appeared in two movies “Khel Khel Mein and CTRL” along with an Amazon Prime series “Call Me Bae” this year. And she just announced one of her upcoming movies in 2025, Chand Mera Dil.
Chand Mera Dil is a Dharma Productions movie starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya Sen directed by Vivek Soni. The movie will have an intense and passionate love story. But it won’t just be the story that will sway our hearts away, rumors are the Karan Johar is personally working on the musical album of Chand Mera Dil to make it “Album Of The Year”. Basically like every other Karan Johar movie, in this too the musical album will be the heart of the movie. Karan Johar has given us countless nostalgic memories with his songs. From the fun songs in “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum” to the overwhelming ones in “Kal Ho Na Ho”. Every song, and every album has a connection with our hearts. And I am pretty tight on the thought that this too will be one of the exclusive albums from Dharma Production movies. Apart from the album one of the other taking point of the movie is the pairing of Chand Mera Dil. Ananya Panday and Lakshya Sen are both young actors who will bring an electric chemistry on-screen.
Ever since the project was announced, I including all the fans are curious to see how they both will manage to carry on the legacy of Dharma’s love stories. It has given us some of the “IT” pairs of Bollywood be it SRK-Kajol, SRK-Rani, Ranbir-Deepika, or Alia-Varun, they all have served us with the best chemistry. On 7 November, Karan Johar shared four posters of the film, “Chand Mera Dil”. The caption wrote, “We have two chands ready to bring an intense & passionate love story like no other!!! Pyaar mein thoda paagal hona hi padta hai… Chand Mera Dil, starring Ananya Panday & Lakshya. Directed by Vivek Soni. Coming to cinemas in 2025.”
While many were happy about Karan Johar coming back in romance after Kill and many other films, some were upset with seeing nepo kids as the face of every Dharma movie again and again. There’s no lie in that. Karan Johar has launched more nepo kids than the movies he has produced. I mean Ananya Panday is like the second Alia Bhatt of Dharma Productions. We as an audience expect to see some fresh faces once in a while. Is it too much to ask for?
