IOA Treasurer Sahdev Yadav Slams PT Usha Over Olympic Medal Winner Awards

Indian Olympic Association (IOA) Treasurer Sahdev Yadav clarified that President PT Usha’s claim regarding Olympic medal winners‘ awards is false. Sahdev Yadav emphasized that the IOA executive committee is not against honoring Olympic medalists, contradicting PT Usha’s statement.

Sahdev Yadav strongly attacked Usha’s claim and said that this claim was completely false. Usha on Monday said it was “extremely worrisome”. That members of the executive committee had failed to honor the Olympic medal winners. It also alleged that funds were withheld to prepare Indian athletes for the Paris Games.

Sahdev said, ‘We fail to understand why the IOA president is spreading lies across the country. Contempt members of the executive without any proof or any real basis for it. He said, “Her repeated attempts and proposals are nothing more than white lies and the president sheds crocodile tears in front of the media.”

PT Usha and Sahdev Yadav chaos continues

India won a total of six medals at the Paris Olympics. This includes two bronze medals by young shooter Manu Bhakar. But Usha said that the ‘executive committee does not want to celebrate her success.’ She is ‘deeply saddened’ by it. Usha had also revealed the proposal of a preparation grant of INR 2 lakh for each athlete going to the Olympics.

INR 1 lakh for each coach was blocked by the finance committee, especially Sahdev. Responding to it, Sahdev said, “It is for everyone’s knowledge that any proposal recommended and approved by the Executive Committee members and the Finance Committee has been paid by IOA Treasurer Sahdev Yadav without any delay.”
