Injury Woes At Real Madrid Force Them To Buy A Former Legend

Real Madrid might have won their last La Liga fixture against Osasuna by a mammoth 4-goal margin, but in the first half of that fixture, their overall season got much worse. In the span of the first 30 minutes itself, Los Blancos saw now 1, not 2, but three of their first-team players get serious injuries. Counting these 3 injuries, they’ve already had 24 injuries on the first team this season and it’s only Early November!

Rodrygo Goes who recently returned from an injury saw himself limping off the pitch and was later seen in tears on the bench. Meanwhile, Eder Militao, Madrid’s leader in defence was stretchered off slightly after. It was revealed in the coming hours that he had suffered an ACL injury. That’s his second ACL injury in as many seasons. A few minutes later, Lucas Vazquez, who was filling in for Dani Carvajal who is out for the season, felt a niggle and went down on the pitch. Thankfully for Madrid, the right-back was able to contribute till half-time at least.

With injuries coming thick and fast for Los Merengues, it is clear that they need good backup if they want to push for important titles this season. This is especially true in defence, where David Alaba, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, and Lucas Vazquez are all injured. And if reports across the Internet are to be believed, their saving grace might be one of their biggest-ever former Legends.

Ex-Madridista and Legendary Defender Guti put forth a proposition stating, “I’d go for Sergio Ramos at Real Madrid right now. It would cost zero Euros.” While it is true that the cost of signing Ramos would be literally zero as he is a free agent, does Sergio Ramos approve of this move himself? Well, El Capitan himself was seen liking the post where Guti expressed his opinion.

The now retired Centre Back was a rock in the defence for Madrid and also one of their longest serving captains in History. A reunion in times of dire need could very well materliaze from fiction into reality. Do you think Real Madrid should sign the 38-year-old central defender on loan to find a way out of their Injury problems? Let us know in the comments below.
