In the mixed doubles category, the Indian duo of B Sumit Reddy and Sikki Reddy emerged victorious against the American pair Vinson Chiu and Jenny Guy. After losing the first game 18-21, the Indian team made a remarkable comeback to win the next two games 21-16, 21-17. Their impressive performance has set them up for a challenging next match, where they will face the winner of the contest between the top-seeded Chinese pair Si Wei Zheng and Qiong Huang, and the Indonesian duo Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto and Lisa Ayu Kusumwati.
Lakshya Sen’s advancement, coupled with the spirited performances of other Indian players, highlights India’s strong presence in the Indonesia Open Super 1000 badminton tournament.
