After levelling the five-match Test series 1-1, the chairman of the selection committee Ajit Agarkar, head coach Rahul Dravid and skipper Rohit Sharma are expected to make changes for the third Test match.
The Indian squad for the remaining three Test matches is yet to be announced, and Agarkar, Drvaid and Rohit Sharma are believed to be in deep discussion about the squad’s composition. After disappointingly losing the first Test match in Hyderabad, Team India bounced back to win the second Test match in Vizag.
India will be on a mission to keep their winning run going in the remainder of the series, starting with the Third Test match in Rajkot. While KL Rahul is expected to feature in the third Test match, there are some doubts about the availability of Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja.
Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen expects to see a few changes in the Indian line-up and added that India missed Kohli in the first two Test matches. Meanwhile, Zaheer Khan also echoed Pietersen’s belief that there would be changes to the Indian side. While there has been talk of resting Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah, that move could backfire given that India relied on Bumrah’s brilliance with the ball to win the Vizag Test.
