India sends two athletes for individual event in Paris Olympics

The forthcoming Paris Olympics 2024 will be more exciting. Around 10,500 athletes from 302 countries will participate in the 32 major sports. India will be sending 117 athletes for the forthcoming multinational event. This is the first time that the nation will be sending so many athletes for any mega-events. Among these, only two players have qualified for different individual events. Those two players are Manu Bhakar and Parul Chaudhary. 

It includes 70 male and 47 female players. They will compete in 69 events for 95 medals. Athletics is the largest contingent in the Indian contingent with 29 athletes. Apart from these 2 athletes, all other Indian athletes will be seen competing in a single event or team event in the Olympics 2024. Shooter Manu Bhakar and athlete Parul Chaudhary are among the athletes who represented India in two different individual events at the Paris Olympics. 

Manu Bhakar eyes gold medal in Paris Olympics

Manu will be featured in the 10m air pistol shooting, and 25m pistol events. She is among the contenders to win a medal in both events. Asian champion athlete Parul Chaudhary will compete in the women’s 3000m steeplechase and 5000m steeplechase events at the Paris Olympics.

In it, Parul will try to repeat the feat of winning a medal in the Asian Games. In the last two events, India has faced disappointment in shooting. But they have the chance of winning the medals this time. Manu is favourite for winning the 10m air pistol event. Previously she failed in the Tokyo Olympics due to her pistol was broken.
