India ready to host the 2036 Olympics: Anurag Thakur

While Indian athletes are busy preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Indian government is preparing to host the 2036 Olympics. Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has said that India will leave no stone unturned to host the Youth Olympics in 2030 and the Olympic Games in 2036.

Waiting for bidding to start

Anurag Thakur said in a news channel that India will be fully prepared to host the Olympics when the bidding begins. Thakur said, ‘We are the third largest economic power in the world and we are among the countries where youth power is immense. There is no bigger market for sports than India. India will host the 2030 Youth Olympics and the 2036 Summer Olympics.’

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said that more than four thousand foreign fans came from England to watch the fifth Test match between India and England at Dharamshala recently and appreciated the beautiful stadium here.

Olympics in Los Angeles and Brisbane

This year the Olympics will be held in Paris, France in July-August. Preparations for that have been completed there. This will be followed by Los Angeles in 2028 and Brisbane in 2032.
