India-Pakistan in the same group in the Women’s T20 World Cup

The International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the itinerary for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup, which is set to unfold in Bangladesh later this year. Kicking off on October 3, the tournament will culminate with the grand finale in Dhaka on October 20. Notably, traditional rivals India and Pakistan are pitted against each other in the group stage.

India will launch their campaign against New Zealand in Sylhet on October 4. The competition features 10 teams grouped into five clusters. Group A comprises Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Qualifier 1, and India, while Group B includes South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Qualifier 2. The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is slated for October 6 in Sylhet.

Each team is scheduled to play four matches during the group stage. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, slated for October 17 and 18. A total of 23 matches will unfold across 19 action-packed days, with all fixtures set to unfold in Dhaka and Sylhet. A contingency day is reserved for the semi-finals and final matches.
