India is busy preparing to host the Olympics: Prime Minister Narendra Modi

India is gearing up to host the 2036 Olympics. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made this statement at the 141st session of the International Olympic Committee held in Mumbai on Saturday.

Earlier, India was also interested in hosting the Youth Olympics 2029. At the same time, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur had recently made a statement about hosting the 2036 Olympics. He had said that India is eager to host the prestigious tournament.

Blueprint for Olympic Success ready

The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (Auda) is laying the groundwork to host the 2036 Olympics. Auda has unveiled the Ahmedabad Development Plan 2041. which reports on infrastructural and environmental improvements to transform Ahmedabad into an Olympic-eligible city. Auda leaves no stone unturned in his preparations.

The authority is preparing a master plan keeping in mind the environmental sensitivity. Which includes important points like water supply to sewage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “I want to present to you the sentiments of 140 crore Indians. India will leave no stone unturned to host the 2036 Olympics on its soil.”

At this time, Prime Minister Modi mentioned that hosting the Olympics is the dream of 140 crore Indians. Popular Brisbane firm Populous has been tasked with creating a strategic master plan for the 2036 Olympics. This includes the widening of the Sabarmati Janpath to Narendra Modi Stadium.

The opening ceremony of the 2036 Olympics is expected to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Prime Minister Modi further said, ‘This is the dream and aspiration of 140 crore Indians.’
