Hence, they lost a total of 6 medals.

Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra; Were amazing for India

Indian athletes including shooter Manu Bhaker finished fourth in the 25m pistol event and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu finished fourth in a total of six events. Thus a total of 6 medals were missed by only one place each.

The nation had high hopes for a gold medal from javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra at the Paris Olympics. But, although Neeraj Chopra threw javelin better than the Tokyo Olympics, Neeraj had to settle for a silver medal. Neeraj Chopra is suffering from a hernia problem. It affected his performance. Also, Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal, setting an Olympic record. So Neeraj could not win the gold medal.
