ICC T20 World Cup: Three Indian Officials to Officiate

The line-up of umpires and match officials for the forthcoming T20 World Cup cricket tournament has been unveiled, with the ICC appointing three Indians for the prestigious event.

Representing India in the T20 World Cup, ICC match referee Javagal Srinath will be joined by umpires Nitin Menon and Jayaraman Madangopal. Scheduled to take place in the West Indies and America in June, the tournament will witness their officiating prowess.

The International Cricket Council revealed the roster of 26 match officials for the first round of the T20 World Cup on Friday. This ensemble includes 20 umpires, featuring esteemed names like Richard Illingworth, Kumar Dharmasena, Chris Gaffney, and Paul Reiffel. Additionally, debutants such as Madangopal, Sam Nogajski, Alauddin Palekar, Rashid Riaz, and Asif Yakub will mark their entry into the ICC senior men’s tournament.

Alongside India’s Javagal Srinath, the panel of six referees will include Ranjan Madugale, Jeff Crowe, and Andrew Pycroft. ICC General Manager Wasim Khan expressed confidence in the team’s selection, stating, “We have chosen seasoned match officials and are proud of our team. We are confident in their abilities to deliver strong performances.”

The list of umpires comprises Chris Brown, Kumar Dharmasena, Chris Gaffney, Michael Gough, Adrian Holdstock, Richard Illingworth, Alauddin Palekar, Richard Kettleborough, Jayaraman Madangopal, Nitin Menon, Sam Nogajski, Ahsan Raza, Rashid Riaz, Paul Reiffel, Shah, Laing Reiffel, Shahid Riaz, Rodney Tucker, Alex Wharf, Joel Wilson, and Asif Yacob.

In the role of referees, alongside Javagal Srinath, are David Boon, Jeff Crowe, Ranjan Madugale, Andrew Pycroft, and Richie Richardson.
