Have Arsenal learnt their lesson after last year’s heartbreak?

Arsenal put on a show against their North London rivals – Tottenham Hotspurs to stay at the number one position for another week in the Premier League. The Gunners scored three first-half goals, but the Spurs put on a valiant fight in the second half to make a come back in the game. The game ended 3-2 in favour of Arsenal, but the result could have been different, had Spurs shown more intent in the first half.

The Gunners now have three games left to play, while Manchester City have four left. The former treble winners are only a point behind their rivals. This not only means that Arsenal have to win all their games, but they will also have to hope that City drop some points in their remaining fixtures. However, the London team could have avoided this if they had secured a win against Aston Villa.

Arsenal’s defeat to Villa put Manchester City in the drivers seat, where they are extremely comfortable. Bukayo Saka stated that the team had learnt their lessons from last season, but the defeat against Aston Villa in a high-pressure game said otherwise.

The team played some great football against Tottenham Hotspurs to secure a win, but they looked nervous in that second half despite having the lead. They made a lot of chances, but could not find the back of the net, which led to the Spurs believing they could make a comeback.

Can Arsenal topple City to win the Premier League?

Arsenal have been one of the best teams in Europe this season. They have looked well balanced and seemed like they could win a few trophies this season. However, as the season progressed, the team began showing fatigue and this led to exits from all domestic cup competitions and the Champions League.

The likes of Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Declan Rice have all been brilliant for the Gunners. Their defensive duo of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes have been the best centre back partnership in the Premier League. Despite all of that, they still might lose out the Premier League to Manchester City. The reigning champions started the season slow due to injuries. However, like every year they have picked the pace as the season progressed and are now looking comfortable in the title race.

City have games against Wolves, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspurs and West Ham still left to play. All these teams have had decent seasons, but the kind of form City are in, they will not have any problem going without a loss against any of these teams. A minor hiccup is the game against Spurs away as City have had their troubles against the London team at the Tottenham Stadium.

Arsenal will have to be at their best in the next three games

Arsenal have a big game this weekend against Manchester United which will be played at Old Trafford. Although the Red Devils are not in great form, they would love to spill disappointment on Arsenal’s dreams of winning the PL title.

Arsenal have scored 10 goals in their last three Premier League games, which indicates how big a threat they are on the attacking front. The teams they are up against in the coming week do not have the best of defence, but they also do not have a lot to play for, which will make things difficult for Arsenal. The Gunners have a little in their hand, but they will have to put their best to avoid another disappointing ending to their season.
