Reflecting on his performance, Harshal Patel expressed his admiration for Bumrah, saying, “I see Jasprit Bumrah as a rival. I have always aspired to be a bowler like him.”
Harshal Patel took two crucial wickets against the Rajasthan Royals, surpassing Jasprit Bumrah to seize the Purple Cap. Following the match, Patel remarked, “I view Jasprit Bumrah as a rival. He is a bowler I have always regarded as my competition. Striving to be as good as him has been a goal. It’s exciting for me to be in the race for the Purple Cap alongside him.”
Currently, Harshal Patel has amassed a total of 22 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah follows closely with 20 wickets. Harshal Patel now leads the Purple Cap race with his 22 wickets.
