She made runs picked up crucial wickets and gave an all-round performance for her team to register the first win. She also became the youngest captain after Australia’s Meg Lanning to lead her side to a victory in a Women’s World Cup match. This showcases her natural leadership role.
Amidst the controversy between the Men’s Team and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Babar Azam recently stepped down as the captain of the white-ball team. Babar needs to learn how to lead a side with little experience in major tournaments. It should be a learning for every Pakistan Cricket Men’s Team. This showcased her strong mentality despite being young.
Pakistan Men’s Team has failed to perform in the major tournaments. They have given the worst result to their fans. However, the Women’s team has succeeded with the best of start beating the Asian Champions. They will be one to watch out for in the World Cup this year and they can upset much more sides going forward in the tournament.
