Fashion Police Alert: Lavish Luxury or Tasteless Excess

The talk of the town pre-wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant saw some amazing outfits, some not-so-stunning looks and some that didn’t pass the vibe check at all so let’s dig into each of them, one at a time.

To start with, Radhika Merchant wore a very grand pastel pink Manish Malhotra lehenga with the most intricate details on the lehenga which gave an amazing elite diva vibe and suited her very beautifully plus the diamond necklace was the literal icing on the cake and complemented her outfit perfectly, and her look on her main day was a literal ten out of ten. Anant Ambani wore a creme coloured Indo-western outfit that had diamond buttons (I would be surprised if it were not diamonds), although the overall outfit gave the best look to him the couple saw too much pastel and bold colours would have added to the charm of the couple. The colours might not be very innovative but the richness and the Ambani touch to things has always been a showstopper all for the right reasons.

Neeta Ambani nailed her outfit with a royal red saree with stunning, loud diamond jewellery that screamed royalty and grandness. She pulled off the stunning 90s retro look with ease and nailed it. She had an iconic performance that surpassed all the other performances for sure. Neeta Ambani deserves more attention for the energy and festive spirit she holds. Another of Neeta Ambani’s looks that needs to be mentioned is her stunning Manish Malhotra saree which has fewer details but the amazing diamond necklace is always there to steal the show with its shine, charm and elegance reminding people that we are talking about one the richest families of the world.

Isha Ambani wore two Manish Malhotra looks, one where she wore a red Lehenga with an emerald necklace and one beige Lehenga off course with the richest possible emerald necklace to style it with and she has her fashion sense on point which was proved by the way she carried out her outfits, the red lehenga and the green emerald were complementing each other like bread and butter however beige and green was fifty-fifty and could have been styled better. As already mentioned, the family wore too much of pastel colours to maybe fit the trending aesthetics and thus became monotonous, we need the fashion industry and B-Town to bring bold colours back to the trend again so that this monotonous circle of pastel colours comes to an end.
