Diljit Dosanjh Will Outshine Ranveer Singh in “Singh Is Kinng”

You are a true Bollywood fan if you have lived through the hype of the comedy film phase of Bollywood. There was a time when Bollywood used to make larger-than-life stories with every needed element for a commercial hit. Some might drown at the box while others swam like there’s no other big fish in the sea. And “Singh Is Kinng” was one of them. When people ask me why Singh Is Kinng was and is such a hype. And honestly, I wish I had one single answer to it, cause there are so many.
Singh Is Kinng was the actual larger-than-life picture back then. The movie was a pure Bollywood drama with action, romance, and top-notch comedy. I mean who didn’t love an underdog story back in those times? Everyone right? Everyone was head over heels when the hero escaped the heroine from the villain’s trap. That was it! That was the OG Bollywood drama we wanted to see. And one more point was the comedy, Bollywood’s comedy script was something else when these movies were released. Every dialogue and every joke was delivered well, written well, and had great humor.

Cherry on the cake was the pairing of the movie. There was a time when Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif were the “OG” pair of Bollywood. The duo was considered to be one of the hit couples of Bollywood. With so many plus points obviously “Singh Is Kinng” was supposed to be a hype. But now when you give the audience such a memorable experience, it becomes your duty to make a sequel that is even better or at least matches the standard set by the first one.

The first thing to follow up the craze of the movie is that it needs the perfect cast who can fill the shoes of Akshay Kumar and that’s what we are here to discuss. Recently there have been some talks on whom to cast as the protagonist between Diljit Dosanjh and Ranveer Singh. The directors might be rooting for Ranveer Singh more but I think Diljit Dosanjh is a way better choice than him.
Diljit Dosanjh has time and again proved that he is a phenomenal actor. His work in Chamkila was beyond words. Considering the title and whole concept of the movie being based on a Punjabi lifestyle, Dosanjh is the perfect choice for the movie. On the other hand, Ranveer is more suitable for an action hero, not a comedy one. Even though he is capable of making any movie a commercial hit, Diljit Dosanjh should be the “Singh”.
