In a stellar display of prowess on the basketball court, Devagiri College emerged as the undisputed champions in both the under 19 years girls and under 17 years boys categories at the inter school divisional basketball tournament organized by the District Sports Officer’s office in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. This outstanding achievement has secured a coveted spot for both teams in the upcoming state-level competition.
The girls’ team, comprised of Ritika Sharma, Sakshi Shirsat, Unnati Dongre, Divya Bakal, Prerna Dewan, Saida Khaled, Tanisha Mahore, Janhvi Binorkar, Sanika Tidar, Siddhi Paraswar, Pratiksha Birotia, and Ishita Chhajed, showcased exceptional teamwork and skill throughout the tournament.
The boys’ team included Jay Nikam, Harshvardhan Patil, Rishabh Kapoor, Aniket Sangle, Tanish Deshmukh, Swanand Kulkarni, Aditya Khandekar, Suresh Shinde, Mahesh Bomkanti, Sudarshan Jadhav, Pranav Jadhav, and Harsh Jaiswal, who displayed tenacity and sportsmanship on their path to victory.
The Inter School Divisional Basketball Tournament at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar served as a platform for these talented teams to showcase their basketball prowess, and their success has earned them accolades and recognition.
Acknowledging the commendable achievement, General Secretary of Marathwada Education Broadcasting Board MLA Satish Chavan, along with members of the Local Regulatory Board Panditrao Harshe, and the college leadership, including Principal Dr. Ashok Tejankar, Vice Principals Nandkishore Gaikwad, Suresh Lipane, Vijay Nalavde, and Supervisor Kiran Patange, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the victorious players.
