Cristiano Ronaldo Always Puts Individual Glory Over Team Unity

Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the greatest footballer of this generation. The Portuguese superstar is one of the finest footballers to ever play the game. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is the only player to have scored 900 professional goals, but his arch-rival Lionel Messi recently reached 850 and is behind in the race. Ronaldo joined the Saudi Pro League in the winter transfer window of 2022.

He has been smashing goal-scoring records ever since; nevertheless, he has yet to win a title with Al Nassr. He was the league’s best goal scorer last season but has begun slowly this season, scoring only six goals. CR7, who had not scored in his previous three outings for Saudi Arabia, scored the hosts’ second goal at Al Awwal Park in Riyadh.

Now Cristiano Ronaldo is eyeing for 1000th goal in his professional career before he leaves the field. However, he has decided not to put too much pressure on himself. Instead wants to live in the present moment. Ronaldo was just granted the Platinum Quinas. It is the greatest honour for a Portuguese player. The award is given by Portuguese Football Federation President Fernando Gomes at a gala ceremony on Monday night.

Cristiano Ronaldo is not a team man

Is Cristiano Ronaldo’s 1000 goals achievement a marketing move? After earning the prestigious award, Ronaldo discussed his ambition of scoring 1,000 goals and stated that he would be delighted to reach them, but if he did not, he would already be the most goalscoring player in history. He said, I now face my life as living in the moment. I can’t think long-term anymore.

Further, the 39-year-old added, I said publicly that I wanted to reach 1,000 goals, but it seems that now everything is easy.  Just last month, I reached 900. It’s about living in the moment, seeing how my legs will respond in the next few years. If I reach 1,000 goals, that’s fine, but if I don’t, I’m already the player with the most goals in history,
