Coco Gauf claims TikTok destroying authenticity of sports?

The US Open has already begun on Monday. Defending champion Coco Gauff kicked off her title defense of her US Open crown with a dominant 6-2 6-0 win over Varvara Gracheva. The match was finished in an hour and 6 minutes. The World No.3 has not been at her best of form in recent times. She was knocked out of the very first round of the Cincinnati Open.

Gouff was also the defending champion of the latter tournament. However, she failed to defend the championship. Monday she looked her best after the shocking exit in her last tournament. Except on the court she has struggled outside it as well. Gauff has faced problems in airports and hotels because of her official name Cori. The 20-year-old player will be facing 37-year-old German veteran Tatjana Maria in the second round.

After the win the young seeded player dropped a comment on how a social media comment changed her life and perspective while the time she was suffering with poor form. Gauff said a follower on TikTok helped her change her perspective coming into the US Open as the defending champion. This comes as a shocker for everyone and her fans as well.
