Three talented athletes from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Pranjal Jonwal, Saloni Mhaske, and Riddhi Jaiswal, have earned the prestigious honour of being selected for the Indian team in the upcoming World Acrobatic Gymnastics Championship. This remarkable achievement follows their successful participation in the 13th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competition and the 29th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championship Open Selection Trials. The trials were recently held at Pune’s Balewadi Sports Complex, an event co-organized by the Gymnastics Federation of India and the Maharashtra State Amateur Gymnastics Association.
All three athletes competed in the selection trials, representing the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, and each one of them secured a spot on the Indian team. Their selection marks a significant milestone in their gymnastics careers as they prepare to represent India on the global stage. Pranjal Mithulal Jonwal, Saloni Sunil Mhaske, and Riddhi Sachin Jaiswal will be competing in the junior women’s group category, where they will showcase their skills and dedication at the 13th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Championships.
Adding to the district’s pride, Praveen Ravana Shinde has been appointed as the coach of this Indian team. Shinde’s guidance and experience are expected to play a crucial role in the team’s preparation and performance at the international level.
The selection of these athletes and their coaches is a testament to the growing prominence of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in the Indian gymnastics arena. It also highlights the effective training and support provided by local sports organizations. As they head to the world stage, the entire district and the nation will be cheering them on, hoping for a successful and memorable performance.
