City and rural district-level inter-school archery competition was conducted with enthusiasm at the Divisional Sports Complex in association with the District Archery Association under the Municipal Corporation and District Sports Officer Office. 51 athletes have been selected for the divisional Archery competition.
Lokmat’s senior journalist Jayant Kulkarni and Sports Officer KV Yadavrao inaugurated the tournament. Sports Officer of Municipal Corporation, as well as Sports Officer Ganesh Palavadde and President of the Technical Committee of State Archery Association Ashok Jangame, Joint Secretary of District Archery Association Bhimraj Rahane and Ashutosh Khichi, were prominently present on this occasion. Bhimraj Rahane, Ashok Jangme, Ashutosh Khichi, Vikram Lahot, Vitthal Narke, Vishal Waghchoure, Kirti Sarada, Deepak Suradkar and Shubham Jadhav acted as referees.
This competition was conducted in the age groups of boys and girls below 14, 17 and 19 years. The gold medal winners were selected in the district team for the regional school archery competition.
In-charge District Sports Officer Bajirao Desai, Municipal Sports Department Head Sanjeev Balayya, District Archery Association President Sachin Mule, Joint Secretary Bhimraj Rahane, Dr. Harish Nagdakar, Ashutosh Khichi, Ashok Jangme, Vitthal Narke, Vishal Waghchoure congratulated the players and congratulated them.
