Boxing academies and clubs in Pune district to be strengthened

A special meeting was organized at Pune by the Pune District Sports Officer Office, Divisional Complex. Along with Yerwada by Pune District Sports Officer Mahadev Kasgawde to strengthen all boxing clubs and academies in Pune District. Pune City and Pimpri Chinchwad under the multi-purpose ‘Mission Lakshvedh’ scheme of the Maharashtra Government.

Arjuna Award Winners Gopal Devang, Manoj Pingle, Working President of Pune District Boxing Association Bharat Kumar Vhaval, General Secretary Abhimanyu Suryavanshi. Treasurer of Pune City Association and International Coach Vijay Gujar, Vice President Suresh Gaikwad, In-charge Secretary.  Amol Sonawane, Working President of Pimpri Chinchwad City Association Prakash Kakade, Secretary and Shiv Chhatrapati Award winner Vijay Yadav. Sports Officer Shilpa Chabukswar, Dadasaheb Devkate, Suresh Kakad, and other dignitaries actively participated in the discussion at this meeting.

District Sports Officer Mahadev Kasgawade about the age group of players, minimum eligibility criteria, sports materials for players and their clubs, special assistance for participation in state and national competitions, daily and traveling allowance for players, nutritional allowance, physiotherapy, psychology, medical facilities, etc.

After knowing everyone’s opinions, the plan was prepared with all consent. He also said that the final selected players will be evaluated by holding a competition every month. In this meeting Rishikant Vachkal, Dr. Rahul Patil, Nilesh Khude, Suryakant Dudhbhate, Sandeep Dhandar, Dilip More, and Dilip Shirke. Along with Kedar Kulkarni, Sham Walekar, Jayakumar Shinde, Asif Sheikh, Sachin Garde, and Mrinal Bhosale from Pune District.

Ajit Oswal Nasruddin Syed, Rohan Jagdale, Robert Das, Amit Suryavanshi, Shakeel Sheikh, Asif Sheikh, Vinod Kunjir, Sachin Shinde, Srikanth Jagtap, Vivekananda Reddy, Prasanjit Gaikwad and boxing coaches were present in large numbers. Working President of the Pune District Boxing Association and Vice President of Maharashtra Boxing Association Bharat Kumar Vhaval. Both thanked the District Sports Officer Mahadev Kasgawde on behalf of all the officials and coaches present.
