“Bad times don’t last forever”, says Hardik Pandya

Cricket fans were highly critical of Hardik Pandya during the IPL tournament, frequently trolling him in every match. However, Hardik Pandya emerged as the hero of India’s victory in the T20 World Cup cricket final with his outstanding all-round performance throughout the tournament.

Before the T20 World Cup, things were not going well for Hardik Pandya. He faced immense criticism and personal challenges, including news of his divorce, which led to questions about his selection for the World Cup squad. However, after India clinched the T20 World Cup title, Hardik Pandya delivered a fitting response to his critics.

Hardik silenced the trolls with his stellar performance with both ball and bat and made a statement after the Indian team became champions. He said, “I believe in reputation; I don’t care what people say who don’t know me even a cent. I always believe that words don’t answer, situations do.”

Hardik Pandya further commented, “Bad times don’t last forever. Whether you win or lose, maintaining dignity is important. Fans and everyone should learn this (to live with dignity). We must maintain good conduct. Surely now, only those people will be happy.”

In the final, Hardik prevented South Africa from scoring 16 runs in the last over. Reflecting on this, he said, “To be honest, I was having fun. Very few people get such life-changing opportunities. This move may backfire, but I see the glass as half full, not half empty. I took the pressure because I believed in my skills.”

Looking ahead to the next T20 World Cup in India, where Hardik might be a captain candidate, he said, “2026 is a long time away. I am very happy for Rohit and Virat, two legends of Indian cricket who deserved this victory. It was fun playing with them in this format. They will be missed, but so what? What can be a better farewell for both of them than this?”
