B Sai Praneeth Announces Retirement from Badminton at the Age of 31

 India’s star badminton player B Sai Praneeth has announced his retirement from badminton at the age of 31. Praneeth created a new history by winning the bronze medal at the 2019 World Badminton Championships. He became the first Indian badminton player to achieve such a feat after 36 years. Earlier in 1983, Prakash Padukone won the bronze medal.

Hyderabad’s Sai Praneet announced the end of his illustrious career through social media. Praneeth announced his retirement in a post on Instagram. “I have been playing badminton for more than 24 years. I have given a lot to this game. Sai Praneeth added that he had mixed feelings while announcing his retirement.

Praneeth will start a new innings next month. He will be working as the head coach at the Triangle Badminton Academy in the US. Praneeth says, “I am starting a new chapter. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the journey that has brought me this far. Badminton is my first love and my closest companion. Badminton made my career.”
