India has so far won three medals in the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024. All three have been bronze. The three medals have come in the shooting category. Manu Bhaker won two one in Women’s Singles 10m Air Pistol and the other one with Sarabjot Singh in the Mixed Doubles. Swapnil Kusale is the other person who has won in the Men’s 50m Rifle Three Positions.
There has been disappointment in the other categories of the events, where the nation was expecting medals. Some experienced stars have failed to earn a medal in their respective categories. However, it has been the Olympics for the youngsters of India. They have shown some excellent displays in their events. Lakshya Sen, Manika Batra, Ankita Bhakat. All have tried their best in some of their debut Olympics. Some stars are yet to take the field.
One of them is Avinash Sable. The Asian Games 3000m Steeplechase gold medalist has been one of the contenders of winning another gold in the multinational event. He previously shattered his 3000m steeplechase national record for the 10th time, blowing away the audience at the Paris Diamond League.
