At least the Indian men’s hockey team was expected to put up a good fight. However, the Indian hockey team lost 1-5 in the first Test of the five-match series.
In this match, the Australian team played aggressively until the end and kept the pressure on the Indian team. The Indian team made some aggressive moves in the final stages. But by then the match was out of hand. Gurjant Singh scored India’s only goal in the 47th minute.
The five-match Test series is a preparation for the upcoming Paris Olympics. The second match of this series will be played on Sunday.
