Alia Bhat Stands Up Against Body Shaming- Rejects All Judgements

Alia Bhatt does not take body shaming criticism for granted especially when it’s on her. Alia Bhatt just took her Instagram to slam netizens who trolled her that she went under a cosmetologist surgery which might have gone wrong. The 31-year-old actress took her Instagram to share a long note criticizing the cosmetologist who claimed Alia Bhatt underwent a corrective surgery that went wrong. The doctor made several unbearable comments on the actress such as she talks weirdly or has a crooked smile and “Botox gone wrong”.

In her long note, the actress reminded people of how demeaning it is to criticize someone over their physical appearance or how it’s not okay to promote body shaming ever. The actress seemed really sensitive to how one should not spread rumors about anyone with zero evidence as it might affect their lives. In her note, the Jigra actress wrote, ”Absolutely NO JUDGEMENT towards anyone who chooses cosmetic corrections or surgery-your body, your choice. But wow, this is beyond ridiculous! To the random video floating around literally claiming I’ve had Botox gone wrong (and to the numerous clickbait articles) – I have a “crooked smile” and a “weird way of speaking,” according to YOU.”

Alia Bhatt added that being an actress she goes through a lot of down phases in her life, from being questioned for her facial features to people objectifying her for belly bumps during her pregnancy. Alia Bhatt further questioned how it is not justifiable for women to go down on another woman and try to bring each other down. The actress added, “This is your hypercritical, microscopic judgment of a human face. And now you’re confidently tossing around “scientific” explanations, claiming I’m paralysed on one side? Are you kidding me? These are SERIOUS claims being casually thrown out there with zero proof, no confirmation, and absolutely nothing to back it up. What’s worse, you’re influencing young, impressionable minds who might actually believe this garbage. Why are you saying this? For clickbait Attention? Because none of it makes sense”.

I feel Alia Bhatt took a stand for the right thing as it is not up to anyone other than ourselves to decide for us and to pass judgment on how we want to look and what we want to do with our bodies. Even if you support natural beauty standards and yet you don’t feel comfortable enough in your original self there is nothing wrong in taking a botox or going through a beauty surgery.

Comment down if you feel Alia Bhatt did the right thing coming out as passive-aggressive or if the doctor has all the right to pass judgment on Alia Bhatt.
