The Abhedya Handball Academy Kothrud showcased an impressive performance by clinching three out of five groups in the 3rd SNBP Inter School District Sports Championship handball tournament, held at SNBP International School, Chikli. This championship saw various teams competing fiercely, but Abhedya Handball Academy emerged as a dominant force.
In the boys and girls under-17 category, Abhedya Handball Academy achieved a remarkable double victory. The boys’ team triumphed over SNBP International School, CBSE, with a score of 7-5, while the girls’ team secured their win against Morwadi, finishing with a 6-3 score. These victories highlight the academy’s strong training programs and the skills of its young athletes.
The competition was equally intense in the under-14 category. SNBP, Rahatani’s ‘A’ team clinched the boys’ title in a nail-biting match against Morwadi, ending with a close 2-1 score. On the other hand, the Abhedya Handball Academy girls’ team displayed exceptional prowess by defeating SNBP, Morwadi with a decisive 6-0 victory. The youngest category, under-12 boys, saw SNBP, Yerwada emerging victorious. They managed to overcome GR Palkar School in a closely contested match, winning 2-1. This win added another accolade to SNBP’s achievements in the tournament.
