Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar witnessed the success of Aradhya Mhasade and Parthasarathy Mundhe, who emerged victorious in the Masters Under 14 Lawn Tennis Tournament organized by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association.
Prior to the tournament, a comprehensive training camp focusing on sports nutrition and injury prevention was conducted at the Endurance-MALTA Marathwada Tennis Centre, preparing selected players for the competitive event.
The MSLTA Masters Scholarship program, featuring cash prizes, T-shirts, trophies, and certificates, showcased the talent of the top 8 ranked boys and girls from across Maharashtra. The participants engaged in round-robin format masters tournaments, with two boys and one girl from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar earning a spot in the EMMTC.
International Tennis Federation coach D. S. Rama Rao, EMMTC Center Head Ashutosh Mishra, Praveen Gayasamudre, and Praveen Prasad played pivotal roles during the event.
While the tournament celebrates local talent, skeptics argue that such age-specific competitions might add unnecessary pressure on young players.
