Omar Marmoush Is The ‘Next Mohamed Salah’

Manchester City’s new signing Omar Marmoush has described Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah as one of the world’s top three players. He aspires to match his compatriot’s Premier League success. Marmoush has been a revelation for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. They confirmed his move to City on Thursday, January 23. The 25-year-old has joined the defending Premier League winners on a five-year contract for a reported sum of 75 million euros.

Making him an important addition to Pep Guardiola’s squad. Marmoush has scored 15 goals in 17 outings this season, prompting comparisons to Salah. The new City attacker, who has seen Salah up close while playing for Egypt, hopes to use the Liverpool star as a benchmark for success in England. According to the Mirror, Marmoush praised Salah as a leader and inspiration.

Claiming that each training session with the 32-year-old is a learning experience for him. Marmoush would say it was an unforgettable day for him, and he is thrilled to have joined City. The 25-year-old said he wanted to win trophies, and City has a winning culture. City are presently fifth in the Premier League rankings, and their Champions League hopes were dashed by Wednesday’s loss to PSG.

Manchester City Fueling an Unnecessary Comparison

Omar Marmoush said, “He managed to become one of the three best players in the world. That inspires me, and it’s something I also want to achieve. He’s not just an incredible player; he’s a leader, an inspiration to all of us. Watching how he trains, how he approaches the game – it’s a learning experience every time. With Pep, his technical staff, and the world-class facilities here, players have everything they need to improve.”

He further added, “That was enticing for me when I had the chance to come here. And I cannot deny I also want to win trophies. City has been the most successful club in England for many, many years, so I know I am joining a winning environment and winning culture. I want to learn from the staff and my teammates, and I want to become a valued member of this winning team.”
