Alex Pereira’s Intensity Does Not Match Hill’s Calm Resolve

Jiri Prochazka, a UFC light heavyweight, touched hearts with his sweet gesture for a fan battling cancer. Jiri, a former UFC light heavyweight champion, revealed a new appearance ahead of UFC 311 by shaving his head for the fans. Usually, the Czech Republic fighter wears a particular battle braid for his fights, which adds to his scary appearance and persona. Jiri took the step of shaving his head to show sympathy with Ashley McGarity.

Jiri Prochazka has distinct perspectives on his interactions with Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill. Prochazka described Pereira as having great energy and a desire to hurt others in the octagon, while Hill lacked the same drive. He said that the American boxer spoke much before the bout but did not contribute significantly during the fight. Prochazka defeated former light heavyweight champion Hill in a UFC 311 battle.

Knocking him out in the third round and regaining title contention. Before the battle, ‘Sweet Dreams’ praised Prochazka’s prior efforts against Pereira. However, Hill was overwhelmed by Prochazka’s razor-sharp hitting once inside the octagon. Despite winning over Hill, Prochazka had a negative experience with Pereira. The current light heavyweight champion defeated the 32-year-old in the second round of their debut fight at UFC 295 for the vacant belt.

Real Champion is Yet to Show Up

After a knockout win over Aleksandar Rakic at UFC 300, Prochazka faced Pereira again at UFC 303. Unfortunately, the former champion experienced the same outcome as his first encounter. He was knocked out in the second round by a stunning head kick. In a conversation with Ariel Helwani, Jamahal Hill and I discussed their post-UFC 311 meeting and reconciled. Prochazka described Hill as a wonderful person.

While recounting his drinking, he shared the experience with the American fighter.  He said, ”We saw each other after the fight, and in the bar when we went back to the hotel, I bought him a glass of vodka. We took a shot, I just told him ‘We fight together, we drink together, all good between us’. He’s a good guy. He is a good guy.”
