Coco Gauff’s Pre-Season Turning Into Publicity Over Performance

Coco Gauff won her second WTA 1000 championship in the China Open, capping off a stellar season. The American secured her first WTA Finals championship in Riyadh. She is the youngest woman to win the year-end championships since Maria Sharapova, and the youngest American since Serena Williams. The American has been working hard in her pre-season training for the upcoming season. She has led the way in another year to dominate the highest earners list.

In addition, the 20-year-old won the French Open doubles championship alongside Katerina Siniaková. Gauff ended her season on a high note by winning the 2024 WTA Finals in Riyadh. The World No. 3 defeated top players like Iga Swiatek, Jessica Pegula, and Aryna Sabalenka to reach the final against China’s Zheng Qinwen. Gauff hopes to emulate her successful season in the coming season. 

The 2023 US Open winner underwent severe training, which included bench lifts, reverse crunches, and sprints. She experimented with beach volleyball, which she found enjoyable. Coco Gauff and her strength and conditioning instructor, Stephane Dal Soglio, uploaded an Instagram picture with a training clip. Coco Gauff provided a sneak peek of her track workout on Instagram, revealing her tough training session. She wished she hadn’t picked track and field as her sport.

Coco Gauff Losing Sight of Bigger Picture

The American uploaded a post by her coach, Stephane Dal Soglio, highlighting her workout program. She also shared her favourite exercise during the session. The 2025 season will include 116 events on the ATP and WTA calendars, beginning with the third annual United Cup in Australia. The World No. 3 will debut for Team USA in the mixed-team event.

They wrote, “Pre-season part 1! A little sneak peek of pre-season pro athlete training. A little bit of fun, and a lot of hard work!! Let’s go get it.” She added, “Me finishing my last 400m you girl was tired. Been doubling up fitness sessions almost all week plus tennis practice every day. Today I’m glad I didn’t choose track as my sport workout was 4 sets of 500m, 3 sets of 800M, and 5 sets of 400m to finish it off.”
