Killing JJ Was Outer Bank’s Biggest Mistake

Outer Banks has been nothing short of entertainment from it’s very first season. The Netflix series started off with a concept of treasure haunting led on by 4 friends or “pogues” you might say. Outer Banks bad great reasons to be a fan favourite. The show’s plot is completely filled with exciting adventures, mystery, twist and obviously the treasure haunting part- what makes it so exciting. Each season was more lively than the some the entire show there is. The changing dynamics, the puzzles and the introduction of new enemies and new characters in each season was what kept the audience at edge through four seasons. Even if the plot wasn’t upto mark, I think the characters in the show were capable of carrying the entire show. Each character played their part with so much authenticity and depth. Both their friendship and their romance brought an emotional layer on-screen. The “pogues” friendship and the moto called pogue for life was so heart touching.

Even the romance between John B and and Sarah was overwhelming to the young fans. No need to mention but their offscreen romance made it more easier to bring it onscreen. One of my favorite plot twist of the movie was paring JJ and Kiara as a couple on the show. I mean how thoughtful and demure is that? Like many other fans out there, I was rooting for it too and it happened. Once in a while there is always a series about which people like the villain more than the hero itself. Yes, you can’t talk about Outer Banks without Rafe’s name coming up. Despite of so much negativity involved in his role, the man is being admired on social media like anything. Right after the release of fourth season, Rafe become the talk of social media in no time. But, Outer Banks is no” Breaking Bad”  to be perfect, is it? Like every other series, this two have some flaws which failed to impress the audience. There’s two things which didn’t need to happen on the show. Firstly, why to bring back a character from the dead only to kill it again?

When John B,s father made his comeback in the show we as an audience expected to finally see the bonding of father and son that we have been waiting from the very first season. But No, the director had to go all the way and kill him again. That was kind of unnecessary. Secondly, I don’t know where to began talking about this disgusting twist of the show- the death of JJ. GOSHH!! What was that and why was that? Why would you kill the most loved character of the show for no resson. I know directors are expected to bring us something unexpected and out of the box but why would you kill a character who’s the reason for people watching the show. You don’t. If this wouldn’t have happened, I might have watched season five but now I’m a little dicey. Let’s hope they find a way to bring back JJ’s character back on the show.

Comment down if you’re excited about seeing season five of Outer Banks and also if you liked the fourth.
