Real Madrid’s ‘Galacticos 3.0’ Is Just A Hollow Hype

Real Madrid are struggling this season. The Los Blancos have not been in their best of touches despite working well in the summer transfer window. They brought in French superstar Kylian Mbappe as a free agent. However, the star winger has failed to deliver in big times for the club. The reigning La Liga champions are currently 2nd placed in the table with 6 points behind arch-rivals FC Barcelona.

In the UEFA Champions League, they are placed 17th after four matches played. They have so far won only two games and lost two. On Tuesday night the side failed to register a win at their home ground Santiago Bernabeu. AC Milan completely dominated the Los Blancos at their home stadium. The Italian club was ahead 12 minutes into the game. But Vinicius Jr. equalised 11 minutes later in the game from the spot.

Alvaro Morata scored against his former side to give AC Milan the lead back ahead of halftime. Tijjani Reijnders made it 1-3 for the side in the 73rd minute of the game and the game was sealed at the Spanish capital. Carlo Ancelotti needs to work with his players and make the team work like a unit instead of just individual brilliance. It has not been so far so good for Madrid.

Real Madrid’s illusion of greatness shattered

Is the ‘Los Blancos’ Legacy Losing Its Shine? ‘The Galacticos 3.0‘ has not performed as per the expectations. With the likes of Vini Jr., Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Rodrygo the team has been overburdened with many stars who are nearing their prime or just at their best at the moment. Managing such a dressing room full of stars is difficult. Ancelotti needs to solve the dressing room problems as soon as possible to win matches.

Mbappe has been the problem to deal with in the squad. The winger is not keen on playing as a No. 9. He always delivers his best performance from the left wing, which is already occupied by the Brazilian winger. There has been overloading in the left wing as the French forward also shifts towards the lines instead of getting inside the box. With no proper No.9, the manager needs to find solution of who can score the goals.
