Virat Kohli Is A Roadblock To The Indian Cricket Team

India is once again in trouble in the third test against New Zealand. Despite taking the upper hand in the final test, the Men in Blue failed to keep the momentum. Rohit Sharma’s side are in deep trouble chasing 147 runs in the fourth innings. They are 92/6 with Rishabh Pant fighting from one end as the wickets fall from the other. It has been a series to forget for the Men in Blue side.

The top-order batters have failed in the test match, except Shubman Gill who scored a brilliant 90 in the first innings. The two-star batters Rohit and Virat Kohli have been out of form. They have just scored one fifty in three tests so far. Both the experienced batters went back to the pavilion cheaply without giving trouble to the opposition. The latter was run out in the first innings with a needless run towards the end of the day.

On November 3, Sunday, Virat Kohli scored only one run in the second inning, bringing his disappointing series to a close. Kohli failed to score more than 100 runs in the three-match series, which is unusual for the star batter. The former India captain needs to get back to domestic cricket, along with the Indian captain, and perform there and get some runs and confidence back before they travel to Australia.

Virat Kohli should move on from test cricket

Time for Virat Kohli to hang up his test cap? Kohli needs to understand the tempo of the longest format. He has been looked in rush in the red ball format, going out cheaply on several occasions. Kohli needs to get back in form quickly before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. Indian fans will once again look up to him in the most scintillating series in world cricket.

It was a horrific start for India, as the team lost five wickets for 29 runs in the first seven overs, leaving the audience stunned and the coaching staff wondering how to react. India faces the prospect of being whitewashed at home for the first time since 2000 when Hansie Cronje’s South African squad defeated India 2-0 in a two-match series.
