Thanks to the Diwali holidays, I had the luxury of diving into the album as soon as it was out, and honestly, I’m grateful I could. Right from the opening track, I was completely immersed. The thought that kept crossing my mind was: do we even deserve to experience this level of quality music for free? The production of CHROMAKOPIA is nothing short of extraordinary. Tyler has crafted his own circus within these surreal beats, playing with melodies and soundscapes that are almost hypnotic, yet always cohesive. Throughout the album, he masterfully shifts between singing, rapping, and experimenting with various tunes, all while staying true to the album’s theme. Each track adds its unique flavor, and not once did I feel the need to skip a song – a rarity in today’s music landscape.
One of the most thrilling aspects was the surprise features on the tracklist. Each collaboration felt intentional, adding depth to the album and keeping me hooked, track after track. To say I want to experience this album live would be an understatement. But until that day comes, I’ll settle for blasting it through the biggest speakers I can find, letting the music take over. This album is phenomenal, bigger than a genre, and truly feels like Tyler’s magnum opus.
