We all are so fascinated by the glamour of the film industry that we don’t seem to care enough what’s behind it. Celebrities are more familiar faces to us than our friends. There is this ever-existing myth that a celebrity can never go wrong. Whatever they do is to be followed by us. But are we aware of the dark side of our idols who we look up to for everything? In my opinion, we are not. We don’t tend to keep ourselves away from the put-up faces of celebrities. And the recent case of hairstylist Emanuel Miller proves that drama can be darker than one’s imagination.
Hollywood hairstylist Emanuel Miller, revealed what goes in the green room is way darker than what we see on-screen. The hairstylist confessed how he was treated by major celebrities like Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lopez, and Blake Lively. And trust me you won’t like the revelations made by him. Yes, these people treated him like a servant and barely considered his existence. During his interview at, “What It’s Like”, Emanuel revealed that the actresses were very hostile to him throughout. While talking about his experience with Anne Hathaway, he shared, “I did a film with Anne Hathaway, and that was one of my worst experiences. Anne never acknowledged me as a person. For four and a half months, she treated me like a servant.” Further, he added, “I was doing [Anne’s] hair personally, just one on one, I was just doing her hair. She never said, ‘Your daughter. Do you have other children?’ or ‘How long have you been married?’ There was never any personal conversation.” Emanuel Miller was devasted to be treated like that by Anne Hathaway, whom he really admired. Emanuel continued more about his experience in the green room, he went on saying, “I’ve been doing a lot of talk shows in the green room with a lot of actors, and I’ve never had that experience. So I went back into the room to get my overcoat that was hanging over a chair, and when I turned around, Jennifer walked into the room,” the hairstylist said. Miller previously worked with JLo on the set of her 2005 film, ‘Monster in Law.’However, Miller alleged that Lopez did not say a word to him, as if she didn’t recognize him at all. “Jennifer just looked at me, just gave me a blank stare, and then looked away to her bodyguards as if [to say] you were told to get this trash and clear the room. Why isn’t this room cleared?” he recalled.
It is really shocking to see actors like Anne Hathaway who is loved by millions for her sweet and cute personality in front of the camera can be this way in real life. Recently when “It Ends With Us” was about to release, I saw tons of videos of Blake Lively being rude to the interviewers as if she’s a “Ms Know It All”. The fans reacted to those videos saying that she might be the next Anne Hathaway. Now I see why.
