Manchester United Should Be Playing Second Division Football

Manchester United has yet again dropped points in the Europa League. They have drawn their third game in a row. The club has yet to find the best form in the season. They are 12th in the Premier League table and 21st in the Europa League. Erik ten Hag has been called into question for the side’s poor performance in the season so far. The fans are unhappy with the team and the coach.

The INEOS management did the work in the summer transfer window by bringing the footballers that the coach urged for. However, the Dutch manager has failed to deliver for the Red Devils despite having suited players of his own. On Thursday, United took the lead against Fenerbahce with Christian Eriksen scoring in the 15th minute of the game. However, Jose Mourinho’s side equalised in the early stages of the second half.

The management needs to think about a coaching change with the team that has been drowning towards the bottom end of the table. In the Europa League with rather easier fixtures, the team has failed to perform and win the games. They are making it tough for themselves to qualify for the knockout rounds if they continue to perform like this. Erik ten Hag needs to get back to winning ways quickly otherwise his job will be in trouble.

Are Manchester United’s glory days officially over? The Red Devils have not the Premier League for over a decade and they just won the FA Cup last season. However, they failed to perform in the season, finishing 8th in the league table. They earned the European qualification by winning the FA Cup against Manchester City.

Now they are struggling in the competition, and this showcases their lack of a winning mentality in the team. Erik ten Hag, who was without ten players due to injury or suspension, was looking for positives ahead of his team’s trip to West Ham United on Sunday.  André Onana called their Europa League tie with Fenerbahce “a big disappointment.”
