Rafael Nadal will be facing arch-rival Novak Djokovic for the one last time at the Six Kings Slam exhibition event in Saudi Arabia. The two heavyweights have faced off 60 times in their long and illustrious careers. It is the most of any two players in the Open Era. On Saturday, Spanish great Rafael Nadal will have one last chance to face the Serbian.

Nadal announced his retirement last week. He will call his time on his career after the Davis Cup finals in Malaga next month. On Thursday, the veteran Spanish in the exhibition event in Riyadh, lost 6-3, 6-3 to countryman Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals. He will be playing a third-place match against 24-time grand slam champion Novak Djokovic, who was also beaten, 6-2, 6-7(0), 6-4 by Italian Jannik Sinner. Thursday’s encounter was Nadal’s first since being out at the Paris Olympics in July. 

Rafael Nadal lost 6-1, 6-4 against Novak Djokovic in the second round of the French Open at Roland Garros. In the tournament, he has won the title a record 14 times. Nadal may link up with Alcaraz in the men’s doubles for the Davis Cup finals, which takes place from November 19-24. Nadal and Djokovic have the best rivalry in the modern era of tennis. The Serbian is also nearing the end of his career and will soon hang up his tennis kits.

The Serbian leads 15-13 in all-level finals, while Nadal leads 11-7 in major finals, including a 5-4 record. Nadal leads 8-2 at the French Open and 2-1 at the US Open, while Djokovic leads 2-0 in Australia and 2-1 at Wimbledon. 

Djokovic is the only player who has beaten Nadal in all four championships. He also leads their five-set match record, 2-1. Both the players will be looking to end the final chapter of their career in a better way. The match will be a tough one for both players and they do have mutual respect towards each other.
