Pankaj Advani’s Billiards Mastery Shines Bright in Singapore Open

Q Sports star Pankaj Advani defeated local competitor Jayden Ong 5-1 to win the Singapore Open billiards title in Singapore. On his way to the finals, Advani faced former IBSF world snooker champion Dechawat Poomjaeng from Thailand. He won a nail-biting quarterfinal match 4-3. In the final, Advani won the first two frames but then Ong tried to make a comeback by winning a frame. 

Advani played brilliantly in the fourth frame. Pankaj Advani won the title 74-6 in the fifth frame. He will now defend his World Billiards title in Doha next month. He is a 27-time International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) World Champion. He has won 18 global billiards titles, including 17 IBSF global Billiards Championships and one World Team Billiards Championship. In snooker, he won the IBSF World Snooker Championship three times. 

He has won the IBSF World Six-Red Championship twice, and the IBSF World Team Cup and Championship once each. He holds the record for the IBSF world championships. Pankaj Avani became a professional snooker player in 2012/2013. Advani has won several awards. The Arjuna Award in 2004, Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna in 2006, Padma Shri in 2009, and Padma Bhushan in 2018.
