Corporate Giants Dominate Kabaddi Field Advances To Next Stage

Bharat Petroleum, Reserve Bank, New India Insurance, Union Bank, Mumbai Police, and Insur Kot registered their first win in the series in the special business group organized by Shivneri Seva Mandal. The Central Bank, however, had mixed success. Defending champions Bharat Petroleum defeated Custom in the men’s kabaddi Group A match at the Bhawanimata Stadium in Dadar (East). Nilesh Shinde and Rishank Devadiga got good support from newcomers. 

Akash Pickalmunde and Akash Arsul made this win possible for Petroleum. Custom’s Sushant Sail, Ajinkya Kapre gave a tough fight. In Group B, the Reserve Bank defeated the Ruby Construction team. Tushar Shinde, Yash Shinde’s scrambling game is credited for this win. Omkar Shinde fought for the Ruby team. Group C, the New India Insurance team defeated the Swami Samarth team. The clever play of Jayesh Yadav, Sanket More did this alchemy. 

Gaurav Patil of Swami Samarth Sangh put up a good fight. In Group E, Union Bank easily defeated the BEST team on the strength of Mulchand Singh, Anuj Rana, and Sagar Jagtap’s uphill and catching game. On the strength of Rakesh Khatkar, Vineet, and Vijay Goyat’s all-around performance, the Inshore Coat team defeated the KEM team in Group D. The Mumbai Police team, however, had to sweat a full innings while registering their first win against Central Bank. In the end, the Police advanced by defeating Bank by one point 30-29.

Hanumant Garje and Lahu Mhatre shines for kabaddi police team

Hanumant Garje and Lahu Mhatre played an outstanding game for the police team, while Nikhil Kadam and Harshad Man played for the bank. In the previous match, Central Bank defeated the Gandhekar Electric team. Kaliram Mhatre and Nishant More became the architects of the bank’s victory. Shubham Shingade and Yash Chavan played well for the losing team. In the women’s group, the Jijamata Women’s team defeated Vishwashanti Mandal 32-25.

They reached the semi-finals for the first time in this group. After taking a 22-09 lead at the interval, the Vishwashanti team gave a close fight to the Jijamata team. Preeti Hande and Kadambari Pednekar became the architects of this victory. Rosie D’Souza and Jui Narkar redeemed the pickle in the second half to raise the hopes of the Vishwashanti team. But victory eluded them. Amar Mandal of Kalachowki defeated Jai Bharat Sangha 32-25 in the Kumar Group to advance.
