Maharashtra Girls Dodgeball Team Shines as National Runner-Up

The Maharashtra girls’ team won the runner-up position in the national sub-junior dodgeball tournament held at Pondicherry. In this tournament, the Maharashtra girls’ team reached the finals with a brilliant performance. In the final match, the Maharashtra team had to accept defeat from the Karnataka team. Therefore, the Maharashtra team had to settle for the runner-up position.

In this tournament, the Maharashtra girls’ team reached the semi-finals. After defeating the teams of Pondicherry (3-1), Telangana (3-0), Jammu and Kashmir (3-0). In the semi-final match, the Maharashtra girls’ team entered the final by registering an easy 3-0 win over the Gujarat team.

Maharashtra Boys Disappoint in quarter-finals

The runners-up team included Mayuri Ghare (Captain), Mehrun Tasleem Sheikh (Vice-Captain), Vrinda Singh, Avni Shelar, Prajakta Kadam, Diksha Borade, Sanskriti Waghmode, Arya Mestri, Unnati Khandve, Shreya Bahiram, Sai Maral, Maitri Samsukh. Coach Mahendra Motghare and manager Komal Shelar were with this team.

The Maharashtra boys’ team made it to the quarter-finals. Maharashtra had to accept the defeat in the quarter-finals by the Pondicherry team. Akshay Dhengle and Kunal Rathod acted as referees in this tournament. Maharashtra Dodgeball Association President Rajendra Pawar, General Secretary Prof. Eknath Salunke, DR Khairnar, Sagar Tambe, etc congratulated the players for this achievement.
