Carles Cuadrat Made The Scapegoat After Team Failed To Perform

East Bengal FC was having a horrific run in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024/25 season continues. The side lost their first three opening games of the season. All over it is the side’s fifth successive loss in competitive fixtures. The team failed to perform on the pitch despite looking good on paper. Carles Cuadrat was under fire and the fans were also furious with him in recent times. 

The Spanish coach on Monday afternoon has mutually parted ways with the Red and Gold Brigade. In his last game against FC Goa, the side lost 3-2 with former East Bengal footballer Borja Herrera scoring a hattrick. The management did good work in the summer transfer window. They brought in the footballers that the coach needed. However, he failed to work with them creating a mentality problem and the team was divided.

Too many tactical blunders and the same mistakes in two back-to-back matches. Doing favouritism Nandhakumar Sekhar, who had made no contributions, was kept on the field in two consecutive games. Naorem Mahesh Singh was substituted as he was returning to form. Fans have been questioning the coach’s choice on the field, and many are outraged. The coach’s decisions have harmed the team.

Carles Cuadrat’s man management let him down

Did Carles Cuadrat’s rigid attitude cost his job? There is a famous phrase in Kolkata Football in Maidan nothing is static. The Three Kolkata Clubs are one of the biggest contributions to Indian football. All of them are result-oriented clubs and the fans have always been supportive of the coach and the management if they have given the best result. Cuadrat’s match reading and rigid attitude cost his job.

Despite winning the Kaling Super Cup last season after 12 years. He failed to give results this season. And the famous phrase has come true. East Bengal will be looking for a replacement as soon as possible. Till the new coach is appointed the reserve team coach Bino George will be looking after the ISL team as an interim. There are no names that are circulating in the market as of now.
