Triptii Dimri who rose to fame nationwide for her role in Animal starring alongside Ranbir Kapoor is back in the news. The National crush is back with another glamorous appearance on screen but this time she is being trolled and not appreciated. Triptii Dimri recently appeared in an item number- Mere Mehboob for her upcoming movie opposite Rajkummar Rao titled Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The song shows both the actors grooving in the song but it’s not the actors that are being trolled, it’s the dance steps and the choreography that is being questioned by the audience.
When you look at the music video just once you’ll come to figure out on your own that the choreo of the song is horrible. The fans might be tapping their feet to the catchy beat of the song but the dance moves are being criticized all over the internet.
What surprises me is the fact that this song was choreographed by Ganesh Acharya who’s known for making any item number song a hit with sensual and thrusting moves by the actress it features.
When I saw the video honestly, I somewhere liked the first half of the song but when Triptii did that pelvic thrust and gyrations moves lying on the ground, that’s where things went south for me. She’s a great actress no doubt, but for an item song? A big no. Not every actress is made for an item number, not everyone can be Katrina or Kareena who makes an appealing appearance in every song they star in.
A Few improvements that could’ve been made in the song: Rajkummar Rao not wearing an outfit so casual as if he stepped out of the house to take a stroll in the mall or perhaps the director should’ve preferred someone else better suited for the song and tune rather then Triptii Dimri.
