The Real Starboy In Real Madrid Is Not Who You Think It Is

It feels as if Real Madrid are back to gaining their best level after their win against Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu last night. Los Blancos denied Espanyol their 1000th Top Flight win in History when the Madrid outfit came back to win 4-1 after going down early in the second half. With Goals for their Front Three of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Dani Carvajal stealing the limelight. But what if we told you, that neither of the names mentioned above is even close to being Real Madrid’s best player this season? And in case you were wondering, no, it’s not Jude Bellingham.

Rather, that honour is reserved for none other than “El halcón”, in English, The Falcon, Fede Valverde. Ever since inheriting Toni Kroos’ legendary number ‘8’, the Uruguayan Midfielder has been playing out of his skin for Real Madrid. Already being considered as the future captain of the club internally, Fede Valverde is proving to the world why Toni Kroos’ statements stating Fede Valverde was a top 3 best midfielder in the world are quite just. In fact, the newly crowned World’s most valuable Centre Midfielder might easily be the best midfielder in the world.

Operating in a box-to-box role this season, Fede Valverde is often seen in the Toni Kroos role of last season with Modric and Bellingham ahead of him. While not as adept at distributing possession as the now-retired German Sniper, Valverde makes up for it with his sheer tenacity on the pitch. Los Blancos’ number 8 is just everywhere all at once.

While his whole team was struggling at the start of the season, Fede Valverde kept putting in masterful MOTM-worthy performances game after game. This consistency is what makes him so important for Real Madrid. The man can attack, defend, and even control the tempo of the game to a great extent. He is also quite good at carrying the ball up the pitch at a fast pace making him very dangerous on the counterattacks.

But his most important weapon is undoubtedly his rifle-like shot. Just like Toni Kroos, had a masterful long shot technique, Fede Valverde has his own personal weapon. The German favoured Finesse & Precision, while the Uruguay captain prefers Force & Power. He has been Madrid’s and possibly La Liga’s best player this season.

Fede Valrvede hence, is the Real Starboy of Real Madrid. Do you agree with our opinion? Or is there someone else who should hold that tile? Let us know in the comments below.
