In an electrifying series of kabaddi clashes, Siddhiprabha Foundation, Vijay Club, Shivmudra Pratishthan, and SSG Foundation have etched their names into the semifinals of the highly anticipated Kumar Group Kabaddi Tournament, skillfully organized by Young Bharat Seva Mandal.
The competition unfolded with pulsating energy, featuring standout performances that left audiences on the edge of their seats. Siddhiprabha Foundation, led by an exceptional display of skill, emerged victorious in a fierce battle against the neighboring Vikas Mandal team. Kunal Baghwe’s stellar performance, securing five wickets in a single outing, showcased the team’s attacking prowess. Supported by Siddesh Bhosle and Roshan Zhore, Siddhiprabha sealed their spot in the semifinals.
Vijay Club faced a formidable challenge from Golfadevi in a nail-biting encounter. The dynamic trio of Rohan Tiwary, Manish Vaskar, and Arif Shaikh found their rhythm in the second half, propelling Vijay Club to victory. Alok Gaikwad of Golfadevi left an indelible mark on the match, grabbing four wickets and adding a splash of excitement.
Shivamudra Pratishthan exhibited dominance in a match against Ankur Sports, securing a convincing win. Arnav Hatkar, Vishal Lad, and Vivek Pawar played pivotal roles in their team’s success. However, Ankur Sports, led by Saurabh Shelar, Aman Manyar, and Dipesh Joshi, put up a valiant resistance.
The last match witnessed a determined SSG Foundation overcoming Shri Ram Mandal Trustees. Dinesh Gawli’s relentless attack, coupled with robust support from the Yadav brothers, Jitendra and Shaswal, propelled SSG to victory. Sriram’s Nikhil Gojare, Harsh Kale, and Ankush Parle fought gallantly for Sharthi but fell short against SSG’s determined lineup.
While regional tournaments like these showcase grassroots talent, critics argue that a lack of national exposure hampers the growth of kabaddi, urging for more concerted efforts to promote such events on a larger scale.
